WHO to stop using term ’swine flu’ to protect pigs (AP)

AP - The World Health Organization said confirmed swine flu cases rose to 257 worldwide Thursday and announced it will would stop using the term “swine flu” to avoid confusion over the danger posed by pigs.

AP - Joe Biden said Thursday he advised his family to stay off airplanes and subways because of the swine flu, a remark that forced the vice president’s office to backtrack, the travel industry to cry foul and other government officials to try to massage Biden’s message.
